Maybe you’ve been looking for a church in Sentul where Sunday mornings feel less like a performance and more like coming home. Where faith isn’t glamorised from a stage, but lived out in the ordinary rhythms of life—over meals, in prayer, through honest conversations about the hard bits.
New Covenant Community is a Sentul church that gathers every Sunday at 10:00 AM for worship and biblical teaching, with fortnightly Connect Groups meeting in homes across Kuala Lumpur for deeper fellowship and support.
We’ve been part of Sentul for over 20 years. We’re not trying to be the biggest or the flashiest. We’re simply a community learning what it means to follow Jesus together, right here in Kuala Lumpur.
As Desiring God explains in its interview on finding a good church, it’s essential to seek a community that is both biblically grounded and genuinely supportive. That’s what we’re striving to be—a place where biblical truth meets heartfelt fellowship.
What Makes This Sentul Church Different
We don’t have all the answers. But we do have a mission that shapes everything we do: Living like Jesus. Sharing his love. It sounds simple, but it changes how we gather, how we serve, and how we treat one another.
Our About Us page tells more of our story—how we’ve grown from a handful of people to a church family that includes everyone from university students to grandparents. We take the Bible seriously.
We believe transformation happens not through hype or entertainment, but through genuine relationships and God’s Word taking root in real lives.
Sunday Mornings at Our Church in Sentul
Our Sunday celebrations begin at 10:00 AM. If you visit, you’ll find something different from the mega-church experience. We meet at our location in Sentul (above CIMB Bank on Sentul Boulevard), and our services centre on two things: worship that helps us connect with God, and preaching that opens up Scripture in ways that matter for Monday morning.
Before the main service, there’s corporate prayer at 9:00 AM. It’s loud, collective; it’s us crying out to God for him to move powerfully in the lives of our loved ones who need Him the most
The writer of Hebrews put it this way:
“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” – Hebrews 10:24-25 (NIV)
Meeting together isn’t just tradition. It’s how we remind each other who we are and whose we are. It’s how faith stays real when life gets complicated.
Beyond Sunday: What Authentic Faith Looks Like
Faith isn’t meant to be a Sunday-only thing. At this Kuala Lumpur church, we’re learning that following Jesus shapes everything—how we work, how we love, how we face disappointment, how we celebrate joy.
That’s why we gather not just on Sundays, but throughout the week. Prayer meetings. Bible classes. Connect Groups in homes. These aren’t programmes to tick off. They’re spaces where transformation actually happens, often in the most ordinary moments.
If you’re curious about what genuine faith looks like in practice, we’ve written about this:
Connect Groups: Where Church Becomes Family
Here’s the thing about Sunday services: they’re wonderful, but there’s only so much connection that can happen in a room with a hundred people. That’s where Connect Groups come in.
These small, home-based groups provide a space for individuals and families to build deep, meaningful relationships in a cozy setting. Usually 8-15 people gather in homes every fortnight—sharing meals, worshipping together, and supporting one another through both challenges and celebrations.
Angeline and Samuel discovered this when they joined a Connect Group near their home:
“The Sentul church connect group drew us closer, not only as NCC members but like a true family. We always gather together, enjoy a simple but satisfying meal well-prepared by the host, worship our Heavenly Father with songs, listen and share each other’s real-life experiences, then support one another in prayer.”
That’s what we mean by church in Sentul—not just a building you visit, but a family you belong to. The meal. The conversation. The prayer. It’s all part of how we live like Jesus and share his love in the everyday moments of life in Kuala Lumpur.
Come and See
New Covenant Community Church isn’t perfect.
We’re still learning, still growing, still figuring out what it means to follow Jesus in Sentul. But if you’re looking for a place where faith is honest, where community is real, and where you can bring your questions along with your hopes, we’d love to meet you.
Our About Us page shares more about our mission, vision, and what we believe. But the best way to know if this Sentul church is right for you? Come and see for yourself.
We gather every Sunday at 10:00 AM at our location in Sentul. Whether you’re exploring faith for the first time, returning after time away, or simply looking for a church home in Kuala Lumpur, there’s a place for you here.
