I joined Dignity in 2017 and graduated this year after completing my IGCSE. Now I work there and serve in church. I received a quality education, and I’m really grateful for it. Dignity has helped me grow as a person and develop my character more than I could have on my own.

A couple of years after I joined Dignity, one of the church leaders invited me to NCC. In my head, church was a place you go to on Sundays: you sit, you listen, and you leave. At NCC, I learned there was much more to it, including fellowship with one another.

I love that the leaders here are so committed to fellowship. They reach out to you and keep looking for you. Even if I missed one Sunday and thought no one would notice, it was as if they were taking attendance. Through that, I see God’s grace in my life. It’s Him reaching out to me through His people, because they never left me, no matter how difficult things got.

I’ve also shared life with my peers in connect groups and at church events, and I’ve grown even more through them.

This year I attended Tung Ling Bible Seminary, and it was transformative. At first I didn’t like the idea, but Auntie Sophia persuaded me. She said, “Just go. You’ll like it anyway.” I’d recommend it to anyone who wants to deepen their knowledge of the Word, know God more, and hear the views of people from different walks of life. I’ve changed a lot, and I’m still learning from it.

Through Dignity and NCC, I’ve learned outside the classroom too, through the farm and the skills classes. They’ve helped me discover new ambitions and hobbies and express myself, including through the choir, which I’m very active in. I’m grateful for ways of growing that go far beyond books, pens and writing. It’s an experience I’ll always be grateful for.
